CHECK-IN/HOURS: Check-in is from 7:30AM to 8:30 AM BOTH DAYS. Judging begins at 9:00 AM BOTH DAYS. Advertised show hours are 9AM to 4PM. This is a non-vetted show. All cats must be checked in through the show committee on BOTH DAYS. The show hall is climate-controlled. It is strongly advised that all entries be inoculated for enteritis, rhinotracheitis, calici virus, and rabies, and given at least two weeks prior to the show. All claws must be trimmed and if not, claws will be trimmed at exhibitor’s expense. Kittens must be at least four months old to be in the show hall.
PEOPLE FOOD: Knights of Columbus will provide food for purchase as their fundraiser. NO outside food, please.
$10 50’s DINNER SHOW: RIGHT AFTER CAT SHOW doors will be locked/kitties remain in benching areas. ELVIS Impersonator & Dance Contest at Knights of Columbus: Swiss Steak, salad, mashed potatoes/gravy, green beans, rolls, jello w/beverage. CASH BAR!
RULES: The show will be conducted according to ACFA Show Rules, a copy of which is available from the ACFA Central Office, P.O. Box 1949, Nixa, MO 65714-1949. All cats must be accompanied by the owner or designated agent. NOTE: All Bengals, Korats, Pixiebobs, Singapuras and all cats shown in the NBC Class must have an ACFA registration number.
LIABILITY: Although Cotee River Cat Fanciers & Knights of Columbus take every possible care, neither it nor the Show Management nor Knights of Columbus can be held liable for the loss of property or accident to the cats or exhibitors.
AWARDS: Awards will be presented in all rings as specified by ACFA show rules. Cash donations to the awards fund will be greatly appreciated and acknowledged in the show catalog. Permanent flats will be used for class and breed wins. Registered cats with their number in the catalog, will be scored for ACFA Regional and Inter-American awards. NOVICE EXHIBITORS: Bring grooming aids and curtains or towels for the cages, which are about 24” deep, 24” wide and 22” high.
LITTER AND FOOD: Litter will be furnished as donated. Litter pans will not be provided. Cat food will be furnished as donated.
HOUSEHOLD PETS: Household pets will be judged in all rings. Kittens will be judged with adults in all rings. Please indicate if your HHP is long or short haired. Per show rules, HHP kittens, 4 months to 8 months of age, may be altered or unaltered. Adults, 8 months and older, must be altered.
TRANSFERS: Transfers will be accepted by the Master Clerk during the show on Saturday and prior to judging on Sunday. No transfers will be accepted on Sunday after judging begins. Bring information from your prior wins.
CLERKS & STEWARDS: We pay licensed clerks according to ACFA Show Rules, nonlicensed clerks $20/day. Stewards are paid $10/day. Please indicate on your entry form if you would be willing to clerk or steward. Submit entry forms and fees for all cats. We will notify you if you are needed to clerk or steward. You will be paid after the show. Lunch and beverages will also be provided. We need and appreciate you!!
ADVERTISING: Non-commercial rates on summary. Enclose sharp black & white copy with entry. You may sponsor a ring for $100 per day. Please contact the show manager immediately if you are interested.
VENDORS: A limited number of sales booth spaces are available. No one is permitted to sell anything from their cages. Contact the show manager if you are interested.
SALES CAGES: These are available for breeders who are also exhibiting cats or kittens at this show. No kittens or cats may be sold from carriers beneath the benching area. All kittens must be 4 months old to be in the show hall. We support serious breeders and it is suggested that no purebred kittens be sold in the show hall for less than $150. All cats and kittens offered for sale must have valid health certificate and be an ACFA recognized breed. Cotee River encourages spay/neuter agreements!
